The Garneau family just returned back to Seattle after a living on the East Coast for two years, and they were eager to celebrate their arrival with family photos in the heart of the city. I loved working with them in Pioneer Square with all of the hustle and bustle of the city waking up on a summery Saturday morning. The skyscrapers, bus cables, exposed bricks, and climbing ivy provided beautiful, city-centric backgrounds for this fun family shoot. Unfortunately the Seattle scenery and all the bribes in the world could not convince three-year-old Hannah to crack a smile, and she was dead serious throughout the entire shoot. Finally, just as we were wrapping up, Hannah's mom asked her husband to pretend to trip and fall on the ground. He did a dramatic face plant and Hannah finally erupted with giggles and a beautiful smile that lit up her entire face.
Man, I love working with toddlers (and their parents)!
