This morning I nursed my sweet babe in the dark before dawn. The house was quiet and still, everyone else sleeping. After she finished, I picked her up and held her while she fell back asleep. Her arms outstretched overhead, little legs subtly scrunching up in the froggy way all newborn legs do. I sat for a few minutes soaking it in. Feeling her weight on my chest and her warm breath on my skin, telling myself to remember this. Remember this. Remember this.
These new parents could not take their eyes off of their little girl. Amazed at every movement, sound, and expression; they are watching her, kissing her, breathing her in. These moments. Remember them forever.
